Coast Standard Yacht Programme
- Agreed value form
- Credit for experience, education and
equipment
- No depreciation on sails and running
gear
- Losses arising from wear and tear, gradual
deterioration and corrosion. The Coast Yacht Policy covers loss or damage
arising directly or indirectly from wear and tear, gradual deterioration and
corrosion WHEN "a reasonably thorough prior inspection by the Insured
could not have discovered such a defect or condition". Situations arise where
an Insured can not discover the wear and tear of the part in question by a
reasonably thorough prior inspection. We consider it equitable that such
losses be recoverable (but excluding the cost of repairing or replacing the
part possessing the aforementioned condition).
- Losses arising from faulty design, faulty
workmanship, the installation or use of improper or defective material. The
Coast Yacht Policy, for the same reasoning expressed in 4 above, covers loss
or damage arising from faulty design, faulty workmanship, the installation or
use of improper or defective material WHEN a reasonably thorough prior
inspection by the Insured could not have discovered such a defect or
condition.
- Losses arising from freezing. The Coast Yacht
Policy covers loss or damage "arising directly or indirectly from or in
consequence of freezing IF THE INSURED HAS TAKEN REASONABLE PRECAUTIONS TO
PROTECT THE PROPERTY INSURED".
All of the above are an integral part of the appeal, stability and longevity
of the Coast Standard Yacht Policy.
