First Mate Progamme

First Mate is a programme designed for brokers which includes a rating schedule and a guide. Policy features include:

• "All Risks" coverage for physical damage to the vessel
• Electronic Equipment subject to a lower deductible
• Protection & Indemnity coverage (up to $2,000,000) for Third Party Liability, Defense Costs, and Wreck Removal
• Personal Effects coverage; $1,000 limit automatically included
• Claims paid without depreciation, including sails and protective covers (excluding Personal Effects)
• Accidental Death Benefits
• Generous Navigation and Trailering Limits
• Optional 'Plus' package providing Uninsured/Underinsured Vessel coverage
• Loss of Use, and Additional Living Expenses

Brokers have authority to quote and bind risks that meet the qualifying criteria.

• All other Sailboats and Power Boats

Marine Underwriters will assist in handling enquiries falling outside the parameters of our First Mate program.
